30K pairs and Newcomers Pairs - will now start at 1.30pm
County pairs - February 19th - this will now be held at Wimbledon
AGM Swiss pairs - July 15th - this will now be held at Ashtead
Rulings
If you require a ruling during a match in a Surrey event please contact David Stevenson (0151 6777412). If he is not available please contact any EBU panel Tournament director whose telephone numbers are listed in the EBU diary.

Charity Seminar Wimbledon Saturday 25th February
We are again delighted to welcome one of the countries leading teachers and bridge authors Andrew Kambites to Wimbledon Bridge Club. On Saturday 25th February starting at 10.30am. Andrew will be holding two seminars :
In the morning we briefly consider when the use of Blackwood is appropriate and quickly move on to the modern version: Roman Key Card Blackwood. The afternoon session deals with hands where you want to raise partner's suit to game, featuring Splinter bids and the 3NT pudding raise. We also consider the use of trial bids to make a game try. Each session is followed by prepared hands, and you will receive extensive notes.
All proceeds taken from these seminars will be given to the 4 charities chosen for the Night of the Stars (See below) Please do not miss this great opportunity to learn from a most amusing, brilliant player and teacher.We will be stopping for lunch for 30 minutes or so; soup and sandwiches will be available to purchase at the club. The cost will be a bargain £10.00 for 1 session or £15.00 for both.

Surrey Sim. Pairs February 2012
The charity that our president Graham Davison has chosen for the next Surrey Sim. Pairs in February is Rainbow Trust which provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. The Headquarters of the Trust is in Leatherhead. You can find out more about them from their web site: www.rainbowtrust.org.uk.
