Bridge matters

NICKO and Garden Cities
The EBU wants to make sure that teams entering these events have players who are 'real' club members. They have proposed that each team member must have played at the club they are representing at least 12 times in a year. The number - 12 - is possibly too high, given that some clubs only play once a week. So the EBU are asking for views from its members by the beginning of September 2010 thus enabling them to make a final decision after October.
Metropolitan Cup
This is on 12th September at Ardingly. If you would like to be considered for a B or C team (the A team is our Tollemache team) then please contact . For more information on this event or other events that SCBA sponsor players to, please see the County Focus web page.
Richard Currie memorial Swiss Pairs
Farnham are holding a charity Swiss pairs in memory of Richard Currie (see Farnham bridge club for more details). It's on Sunday 1st August starting at 2pm.
Rulings
If you require a ruling during a match in a Surrey event please contact David Stevenson (0151 6777412). If he is not available please contact any EBU panel Tournament director whose telephone numbers are listed in the EBU diary.

Details of rules and appeal processes can be found on the Results page.
