Mac Derwig - SCBA chairman elect

Mac Derwig Apart from playing bridge in Farnham and Busbridge, since 1989, I have been the Treasurer of the University of Surrey since 1989, now re-appointed till 2012. I have also, just accepted the post as Treasurer of the Prostate Project Charity, of which I have been a Trustee since 2004.

Of course, you know that I am Dutch, as my accent tells everyone, and I have enjoyed the kind hospitality of this Country, because the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever (for whom I worked since 1968) brought me here in 1973 and never sent me back home.

Surrey sets county P2P charge at zero pence!
The Surrey committee has decided that for the first year of P2P there will be no additional levy to support county activities. To understand the committee's reasoning Chris Stableford has written this article.
Rulings
If you require a ruling during a match in a Surrey event please contact Roland Bolton (01483 560056) or David Stevenson (0151 6777412). If neither of us is available please contact any EBU panel Tournament director whose telephone numbers are listed in the EBU diary.

Many thanks to all the clubs who have taken part in the February Surrey Simultaneous Pairs. You have raised almost £2200 which will be donated to GRACE which researches the causes, diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer. The charity also aims to provide much needed equipment to treat these types of cancers at hospitals throughout the Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire.
