It is sad to annouce the death of Stuart Sather. There is an obituary for him on the ebu web site.
Clubs page
There is a new format to the clubs page, this allows searching of clubs for either clubs that play on a specific day, or clubs that have sessions/classes for beginners. Click on the 'Clubs by location' link to see a map showing where all the Surrey clubs are.
Club Representatives Meeting
On Sunday 7th June, a Club Representatives meeting was held at Oxshott Village Hall to discuss the EBU P2P Club Contracts. Final minutes now available (3rd July 2009).

Surrey sets county P2P charge at zero pence!
The Surrey committee has decided that for the first year of P2P there will be no additional levy to support county activities. To understand the committee's reasoning Chris Stableford has written this article.

  • Surrey enthusiastically supports the Best Behaviour at Bridge initiative from the EBU.
    It will be applied at all Surrey events. Surrey clubs are encouraged to do the same. For more information see this article by Roland Bolton. (Jan 2007)
