| 1 | Pairs entering for this event undertake to play for no County other than Surrey for the current year 1 September to 31 August. |
| 2 | This will be held as a one-day two-session event with qualifying in the afternoon session playing appx. 26 boards. The top 14 pairs will qualify for the County Pairs final with a percentage of their qualifying score carried forward into the final in which green points will be awarded. The non-qualifying pairs will play for the Surrey plate in the evening session with no carry forward. |
| 3 | The first five pairs in the County Pairs Final will be invited to represent Surrey in the Reg Corwen Trophy event. |
| 4 | Systems and conventions permitted by Level 4 licence as set out in the current EBU Conventions handbook may be played throughout. |
| 5 | Surrey smoking restrictions apply. Smoking at the tables is not permitted. |
